If I’ve ever known you in person, you should read this really mushy post.

This is going to be a bumbling, blubbering mess of a paragraph…bare with me. As we grow closer to entering a brand new year, we find ourselves reflecting on the past year. Tonight, I have done an insane amount of this. Reflecting on the trials and trivials of 2011, but more than anything, I’ve been reflecting on all of the wonderful scenarios, outings, and innings that I’ve blissfully been a part of. As I end 2011, I am incredibly grateful for the people I have met and even more so for the ones who have stood by me since before 2011. I am one of the luckiest people alive and I have each and every one of those people to thank for it. Because of them, I have watched myself become a better person. I’ve watched myself grow and branch out. I’ve watched myself love, lose, and enjoy every damned moment of it. Because of the events and the people in 2011, I’ve genuinely been able to accept that every thing happens for a reason. Each of us are entwined in this intricate woven masterpiece that we call life. Sometimes, the threads become tangled, but undoubtedly if it is meant to happen (what ever “it” is) will. I have successfully graduated high school and delved into college. Between those two events, there was something called summer. This summer, I was lucky enough to have relationships and friendships with some of the very best people in this world. I will never regret a single thing that happened, because those events led us to where we are now. And now in college, I am part of something we like to call a “Tribe”. This is a family where if your world was falling apart underneath of you, they would assemble every particle of dust until you were smiling again. Again, I could not be any luckier. This year has just been added to the many amazing reasons why I have the number 11 permanently tattooed to my wrist.

To anyone I have encountered this year. To anyone I have laughed with, cried with, partied with, etc, I love you. You are all amazing people in your own ways and I wish nothing but the best for all of you. To those of you still in my life, thank you. <3

And to every one and any one who bothered to read this: I wish to you a very, very, very Happy New Year!
